In collaboration with director John Prosky, Madeline worked alongside a team of set designers to design and implement the set, graphics, props, and SFX of the show. Re-imagined as an immersive experience to maximize impact, the play was told in three acts as the audience was moved to different locations for each scene.
For Act 1, the seats of the theater were taken out and replaced with office desks, plunging the audience into Gloria’s world of isolation in corporate America. In Act 2, the lobby of the theater was transformed into a Starbucks cafe guests could sit at a cafe table themselves as the action unfolded around them. In Act 3, the audience returns back to the theater, which has been transformed into an LA film studio.
